Delle Donne & Associates and The Corporate Plaza welcomes Wildwich! Check out the article from Delaware Business Now!

Wildwich Café has joined the growing number food of trucks that have set up brick and mortar locations in New Castle County.

Wilmington Mayor Dennis P. Williams, U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, and owner, Mike Stanley, joined in cutting the ribbon of the café at its site at 800 Delaware Avenue, home of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Wildwich got its start as a food truck that attracted lunch crowds. The café will offer a similar menu of gourmet sandwiches, soups, salads, baked items fresh lemonade, and coffee.

The food truck will continue to operate in the area.

“The city looks to continue to support the growth and development of businesses in downtown Wilmington,” said Williams. “A new business like Wildwich will add to the vibrancy continuing to grow across the city, and hopefully, attract new customers to the area.”

Wildwich joins pioneer food truck operator Kapow, which has a location at the Booths Corner Farmers Market, just across the line in Pennsylvania; Wood Fired Pizza Shop, which has a permanent location on Cleveland Avenue in Newark; and Fork in the Road, a brick and mortar location for the owner of the I Don’t Give a Fork Food Truck. Fork in the Road will be located at the EZ Pass building at the Delaware Memorial Bridge Plaza, New Castle.

While owners are branching out, food trucks remain a big draw at local events. In a couple of cases last year, the trucks drew large crowds and quickly ran out of their offerings.
